We do not ask for or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or payment details. There is no account and no login.
We log which lookups were made (tire size, vehicle make/model/year, which tool or page was used, which assistant or browser it came from) and which outbound retailer links were clicked. These records describe queries, not people.
A VIN you submit is sent to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vPIC service to identify the vehicle, and the decoded result is cached. We store only the first eight characters — the part that describes the model, not the individual car.
We set no advertising cookies. If website analytics is enabled it is Google Analytics 4, and server-side events go to PostHog; both record page and event data, not identity.
Links to tire retailers carry an affiliate identifier. If you buy after following one, the retailer pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Once you leave our site the retailer's own privacy policy applies.
